HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET LITTLE JAKE! (not so little anymore)

Yesterday was Jakelyne's birthday.  We celebrated it with Honey, Bob Bo, and Grandpa on Thanksgiving.  Then we took her laser tagging with some of her friends on Saturday and then celebrated it again.  I can't believe how fast she is growing up.  It makes me sad to see how fast time goes.

She said that it was her worsed birthday ever.  We had to take her to the hospital for X-rays last night because last Sunday she was kicked by her horse.  She was having alot of pain, but she is going to be okay.  It will just take some time to heal.

Her Grandma Pam had a darling cake made for her for her birthday.  She just loved it and so did all of her friends.  Well I think that sums it all up for now.  More to come soon.  I hope all had a very safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Princesses on Ice

Just Brinley and I went to see Disney's Pricesses on Ice.  I never thought something like that could be so much fun.  She wanted to wear her halloween costume, which she was a Princess of course.  She was not the only one.  I think 90% of the little girls there all dressed up as Princesses also.  She loved it. It was fun just to have Mom and Brin day.

Las Vegas

The first weekend in November we went to Las Vegas for a vaulting competition for Presley.  It was her first one and she actually did very well.  I think if she would have smiled more instead of being so serious she would have done better.  But we are very proud of her.  She got 2-5th places 1-4th and 1- 3rd place.  It was fun.  Mom and Dad went down with us.  Brinley thought it was awsome with all the lights.

New Family Member

We saddley lost Marlyne and Gus a few weeks ago.  It has been very hard for all of us and especailly for Jakelyne.  They were part of the family.  To help heal our loss Jakelyne got a new puppy for her birthday just a little early.  She is a Astrailian Shepherd and her name is Jade.  Steve finally got his Jade.  I think he has tried to name everything from the kids to the pets Jade, so now he has his Jade.  The girls are excited to do agility with her when she get a little older.  Right now Marley is the star jumper in the family.  Jade should come along just fine.  Marley gets a bath weekly.  It is so funny how she looks like a little powder puff then when wet looks like a drowned rat.  Dogs just add something special to ones life.

Halloween

Halloween came so fast and it was a lot of fun.  All three girls dressed up. Jake was a "Flower Child", Presley was a "Countess" and our sweet little Brin was a Princess, oh I can't forget that Steve was her King! We went trick or treating with Steve's sister and her boys.  We really have made it a tradition and the kids have great fun.

It's been a While!

Well, since it has been a while this blog entry might be longer then usual.  Since the last entry we have added another member to the family, lost two others,  had a birthday, went to Las Vegas for a valting competition and well I think that is about it.

The Toothless one -- Tooth Fairy just can't keep up

Presly has lost 5 teeth in less then three months and has 3 more that are loose.  The missing teeth just fit her personality perfectly.

Just when you think you have seen it all!

The night I thought was going very peaceful. The girls I thought had worn themselves out running around with Marley and were upstair quietly watching a movie.  Steve and I had a few minutes of quiteness to chat about the days events, which never happens. The next thing we knew the peacefullness ended instantly.  You can only imagine.  What will they think of next?

And they say dog's can't fly, "Wrong!"

As you may know, if it can't jump it does't belong at the Devey's

Happy Birthday Bob Bo!

Bob Bo's birthday was on Sunday and they came over with Grandpa for dinner.  Brinley couldn't wait for Bob Bo to come down.  She wrapped half her room up in aluminium foil for him.  We was all good and good company.

Another Crazy Weekend

Last week was crazy.  Jakie had a jumping clinic, Presley had her last soccer game, and Pres and Brin both had Performance in the Oak Hills Fall Spectacular.  They all did very well.  Jakie did amazing with Alfie, which she hasn't rode her in almost 2 years.  She had a little wreck one of the days but as far as riding Alfie she did Awsome.

Presley was great at the last soccer game of the year.  Her coach wasn't able to make it so I had to coach, wasn't that a pretty sight.  The score was 0-3 and Presley made two of the goals.

Their Vaulting performance was awsome. Neither one of them are affraid to perform in front of a crowd.  Presley will be going to a competition in Las Vegas in November.  She is so excited to go. New videos are posted.  Hope you enjoy watching yet more of our life little journeys.

SO SAD SOCCER IS OVER

We are so very sad that soccer has come to an end. It was so exciting to watch Presley play.  She is very competative and very serious when she plays.  She scored at least 2 goals every game so scoring most of the goals.  Her coach was so good with all the girls.  We are hoping that his daughter will play next year and hopefully we can get the same coach.  The coach told us that he would put Pres as a goaly or a fullback just so the game wasn't a total blow out.  I know it is only kindergarten soccer but it will be exciting to see if she keeps with it.  The Angels won all of their games but 2 and those they tied.  Steve is already looking forward to the next season.

Brinley's First Day of Preschool

Brinley has been waiting for this day for months. She asks everyday, "is it time to go to preschool tomorrow?"  Well now she finally got to go.  She was so excited with Her new clothes, new back pack (which was the most important thing we had to get) and her new Brinley DEW!  She is going to Active Learning Preschool and just loves her teachers Miss Amy and Miss Karen.

Happy 6th Birthday Pres! We Love You ---- Being 6 and a new puppy is sure tiring

Well Presley's birthday finally arrive.  She kept saying it was her big birthday because she was going to be six and in Kindergarten.  She had a great time.  We had a small party with some close friends, the great grandpa and other family members.  We had her favorite (Lettuce Wraps and Sloppy Joes).  She also lost a tooth the day before and the day after.  She is going to break the tooth fairy at this rate.  I think she had a good time.  I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Oh and how can I forget the sweet little precious Marley.

Crazy Weekend (Broken foot, soccer game & horse show)

This weekend started off crazy.  Steve had a 400 lb. steel ring fall on his foot at work and break it. This happend first thing on Friday.  He was in a lot of pain but has been tolerable about all we had to do this weekend.  We gave him the choice to stay home and rest but he went with us anyway.    Presley had her second soccer game Friday night, right before we left for the Pumpkin event in Ogden.  She was awsome.  She scored most of the goals.  We actually felt bad for the other team.  The coach put her in as fullback, so she really isn't suppose to leave their end of the field, but she would get the ball and run it all the way to the other end of the field and score.  Coach didn't say much he just laughed and tried to explain how that position works but she just told the coach, "she just had to make the goal".  She is really a lot of fun to watch. Honey and BobBo came down to watch. I think they had a lot of fun watching her play. Steve keeps telling me that I need to yell for the whole team and not just yell Presleys name, but when shes got it, she got it.

Honey and BobBo had the pleasure of having Brin over night.  Brin was really excited and enjoyed her time with them without her sisters.

Jake had the year end Pumpkin Event.  She did wonderful in her dressage and also in her stadium jumping.  She did a lot better on her cross country then in the past.  So we were very pleased.  The stadium and cross country are actually speed events (which haven't been her favorite) but she did well.  I am very proud of her.  She took 12th over all.  Her friend Grace went with us and she did well also.  She got 4th place.  Grace was awsome.

Steve and I spend most of our time at the event treating horses and people with the EPMT machine.  It was great to get the exposure of the machine out there.  There is a group that wants us to go up to Jackson Hole, 1 - 2 times a month and treat their horses.  We have no problem with that.

Of course Presleys sweet little Marley went with us.  She was mauled to death. For 6 weeks old she probably wonders what she has gotten herself into.

This next week will be pretty uneventful, I hope.  We will celebrate Presley's 6th birthday this weekend, until then.

Presley's First Soccer Game

Presley had her first soccer game last night.  What a game.  It was so fun to watch her.  She is very competitive, alot more then most on her team.  She is very good at it and really enjoys it.  The video says it all.  She has another one tomorrow night, then we have a horse show for Jake on saturday.  Brin is pretty good coaching them both from the sidelines.  It's just hard to keep her on the side lines and not coaching out on the field. We are trying t keep her more the cheerleading side of things for the moment.  Brin does that pretty well also.

Our New Little Arrival

Well it happened again. Yes we did it, we have a new little bouncing baby girl. 2 lbs. 3 oz.,  8 inches long.  Her name is Marley Jade Devey. She is mostly Blonde, a tinge of brown and big brown eyes just like her dad.  Prince Bob isn't really to thrilled about the new member of the family at this point.  He'll get used to her with time, we hope.

She is just 6 weeks old.  She is a Shitzu-Maltize.  Steve got her for Presley for her birthday. I know it is a little early but it was mostly a bribe to get rid of the ginny pigs.  She sure is sweet and will be just spoiled rotten.  She will be going to her first horse show this weekend with us.We sure love her.

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Pres first day of Kindergarten.  She was so excited.  I am not sure if it was her or Jake that was more excited. She was excited because one of the girls in her class is also on her soccer team.  What a fun time in life.

Presley Starts Kindergarten Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the big day for Presley.  She is so excited to start Kindergarten she can hardly sleep. Have a few more things to get her and we will be done school shopping, Yeah.  Her teach is Mrs. Lyman and she is very nice. Presley did her assessment last week and we were told that she could go into 1st grade if we wanted her to. I think we will just keep her where she is.  Nothings wrong with being the oldest.  Our little girl is growing up.

Marci Cut My Hair!

Well Brin did it again yesterday. Yes, I know it is hard to believe but she cut her hair again. This time it couldn't be saved. Bob Bo say's she looks like Buster Brown. Brinley back a couple of month's ago decided to give herself a hair cut 1/2 hour before she had her actual appointment to get a trim. So we took her to Marci to clean up the cut job she had done. While at her appointment Marci told her that she isn't suppose to cut her hair and that only Marci is suppose to. So as you can see in the video when she is asked to who cut her hair she responded with "Marci did it." Well I guess they all can't have long hair forever.

A New School Year Begins!

Well here goes another school year. Jake will be going into 6th grade. She will be in Mr. Anderson's class. She is excited to have him for her teacher.

Presley will be starting kindergarten, she can hardly wait. I know if she had to take a bus to school she would be sitting at the bus stop the night before. She will start a week after Jake. She will be in Mrs. Lyman's class.

Then there is Brinley, who will be going to preschool this year. She is so excited to go. I think that she is the most excited about her back pack. She wasn't to concerned about what clothes she got, just concerened about the back pack. She wants to take it with her where ever she goes, just hoping that this will be the day to go to preschool. She will be going to Active Learning Preschool. Presley went there for two years and just loved Ms. Kare and Ms. Amy.

Jake and Pres will have their open house on Tuesday and then Jake will start on Wednesday. Pres will have her testing on Wednesday afternoon. Now the fun begins!

Updating Blog for Lisa!

Well Lisa, I updated this just for you. I will try to keep this updated a little better. New school year new updates.
